Fruition Seeds Farm Tour: Regionally Adapted Seed Production

Registration is closed for this event
Seed nerds, sustainability lovers, farmers, and gardeners--come join us for a fantastic day of learning and touring with Petra Page-Mann and her crew at Fruition Seeds farm in Naples, NY. We will load into vans here in Ithaca and drive together to Fruition Seeds (about 1.5 hours away). We will begin with a tour of the farm where we will learn how Fruition organically cultivates their regionally adapted seeds and many tricks and tools of the trade of seed production. After lunch, we will get our hands dirty and learn techniques for seed harvest and cleaning. Everyone will leave with a free seed packet and so much knowledge. We will leave CCE Tompkins at 8:15 a.m. and return around 6 p.m. Participants should bring a brown bag lunch, clothes for getting dirty, water, sunscreen, and a sun hat. It's going to be a great day! Come join us, friends! Folks from other counties are welcome. If you would like to join us but not come in the vans will need to meet us at Fruition Seed at 9:45 a.m.
