Edible Garden Tour #2: An Edible Garden in the Hills

Joel and Sara Gagnon have created an evolving landscape that has met most of their food needs for 40 years. Fruits and nuts have been integrated into the landscape where possible and caged or fenced in when not. Both the common and the less common are grown here and this garden reflects what it is possible to grow in a valley location prone to spring frost. They have acquired some fairly well-informed opinions about what does and doesn't work and are happy to share what remains relevant in a changing climate.

A private garden in Danby, location address will be emailed before the week of the tour.
